The Image of Christ

Genesis 1:27- So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him.

When God looks at mankind He should see His very own reflection. Our love for one another should reflect Christ love for us. Our treatment and actions toward each other should speak to the world that we are the image of Christ.

When we open our mouth to speak negative of someone or call them negative, offensive names this is not what Christ would do. When we cause separation, when we promote racial dominance this does not reflect God’s image.

To be a true Christian is to be Christ like. To be Christ like is to love as He loves, to heal as He dose and not divide. To be Christ like and to reflect His image is to seek the good in people, to see people as He does. To be Christ like is to seek the best for all rather than only promoting what’s best for me.

As I walked on the pier over the gulf I saw this beautiful bird walking along the water. What caught my attention was it’s image on the water. As the bird moved the image moved. As the bird stopped, it’s image stopped. The bird was in control and the image reflected everything about the bird. The image was shaped horizontally and vertically as the bird. It was the very image of the bird.

Wow, God began to speak to me as this drew me into the movement of the bird and it’s image. Where is God’s image in the earth? Does our Father weep when He looks upon the earth? I believe that He lines to see His image. I believe He is seeking for the pure in heart. He is seeking for those that will move when He moves, will reflect His heart to love, to heal, to bridge together. Our Father is not looking for perfect people or individuals without flaws, rather He’s looking for those of a pure heart and a contrite spirit.

The image of Christ…..

God is looking…
