I was feeding my little dog, Cookie and I went to walk away and she looked at me with her big brown eyes as to say “is that all”, “I want more”, “that’s not enough”. So I laughed a moment and began to give her more food. She runs over to her bowl and joyfully eat. I thought for a moment, wow, God You are giving me a message.
We tend to think that what we do is acceptable to God. We pray a few minutes, we read our Bible on Sunday, Fasting, what is that? We quote scriptures, but satan did too. We go to church on Sunday whether in buildings, on the front steps or online and we think we have done enough, when God is looking at us saying, I NEED SO MUCH MORE FROM YOU.
Our prayers are filled with God, I need or God help. So few prayers are God, I just want more of You. Just like Cookie needed more from me, God is requiring so much more from us. Our occasional Thank You Jesus and Hallelujah are not enough. God want us to have a Spiritual Encounter to experience His Glory like never before. It’s His desire to give us all of Him and He want us to give Him all of ourselves. He will not accept half living right nor will He accept parttime Christians. God is looking for us to totally surrender our all to Him. Whether in the building of worship or in your closet or kitchen at home, seek Him for that life changing encounter. He will accept nothing less.
